3. "How do you distinguish a professional from other kinds of workers? Does someone who completes for only a two-year course in Technical can be classified as a professional? Defend your answer"
- It actually depends on what he/she learned on his/her two-year course. He/she should be tested on his/her skills and abilities to do tasks he/she is asked to flawlessly or at least more than acceptable. Whether or not he/she is acceptable, still he/she should be guided more on things the person needs to make his/her skills a lot better. Distinguishing a professional does not base to how many years the person studied. The person could be both persuasive and determined. Confronting the person is also helpful to distinguish whether he/she is a professional. You can tell by observing on how he/she responds to your questions or topic whether she is wise or passive. When we say passive, it is when the person's response is quite slow or typical. "Professional work requires the understanding of an organized body of theoretical knowledge that is of a level equivalent to that represented by a university degree. While this knowledge is customarily and characteristically acquired through formal education, it may, in some fields of learning or specialized disciplines, be acquired through other training, self-study or practical experience.. It requires judgement in analyzing and evaluating problems and in decision-making involving discretionary choices between alternative courses of action.
